On a long weekend, a bright shiny day like this I find myself and the kids already packed and on a road trip for a lovely little holiday.

On the way from Bangkok to Rayong, the journey took only a couple of hours (2.30hrs) to a beautiful lodge not far from beach “The Bamboo Lodge Resort & Restaurant” as I described the resort to my kids that this place offers a ‘feel-like-home’ eco villa as well as fresh & flavourful food from its restaurant. You can see why the resort was simply perfect for us to stay.

It was a fine afternoon as soon as we arrived and were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff. Everyone here owns their honest, warm smile. Our bags & belongings were well taken care of and delivered right to our room which made me feel relaxed and carefree, allowing us to absorb the cool breeze and nature vibes at this resort.

Bamboo Lodge; the interior design of this place is spot on. The whole resort is made from and decorated with bamboo. It gives you the feeling of your holiday home garden which I found very joyful and pleasing.

When walking through the resort’s entrance to the hallway,

You will find a cozy restaurant, where it is decorated with warm white lights/
lamps to make you feel like you are having dinner at home.

There are 4 bamboo villas in the resort, each one has a pool; which is a salt water system, a jacuzzi tub, a terrace sofa, daybeds as well as a hammock.

Overlooking from the bamboo villa is surrounded by the green (Trees) which I found so private & relaxing. You could be
listening to music while chilling in the villa all day long.

There was much more to love as I navigated in the “bamboo” bedroom.

A king size bed tucked well underneath the fresh & clean bedsheets.

Good standard facilities are provided in the room too i.e. small selection of kitchenware, kettle for tea or coffee, and a fridge.

An aroma diffuser on the table gives you more fresh comfort for your
stay. The bathroom is well equipped with a pair of slippers, bathrobes,
fresh & clean towels as well as a hair dryer. The bamboo villa to me offers every detail that luxury hotel chains do.

Additionally, I mustn’t forget to tell you that the toiletries are earth friendly too which means the bamboo lodge resort & restaurant is one that genuinely promotes sustainable travel in Thailand.

To stay connected while unwinding at the resort,

the wifi here is of goo quality as I had no problem working from my laptop or when my kids wanted to watch TV or Netflix programmes.

My review for room service at the resort is also delightful. Available from morning to 9.00pm offering both Thai & Western cuisines.

Waking up in the morning from the bamboo lodge was never a dull moment.

We enjoyed the resort’s beautiful morning atmosphere as well as a good breakfast. Again, we were impressed by the breakfast area/space/zone/corner. This area is well-designed with a set of big couches and bamboo tables. The a la carte breakfast is served 7.00-10.00 with delicate manner of staff and can be arranged at an affordable price. As for the menu, I would recommend Caesar Salad. You won’t be disappointed.

considering the safety and closeness of the beach for all individuals,

we decided to walk (it was only 150 metres
OR about 2-3 minutes walk from the resort) to chill by the beach and to breathe some fresh-salty air. The beach is called “Ao Khai” next to
Laem Mae Phim Beach.

We enjoyed the moment at the beach, listening to the peaceful & calm sounds of waves after waves. What a retreat! It was a lovely idea to spend the late morning after having breakfast with the sand between our toes.

Speaking of the area, the local area is packed with many street food stalls, cafes, bars, and restaurants from Isan to Southern Thai for everyone to try. Shops like 7-11 was also notable and plentiful.

After spending a wonderful time at the beach,

I already thought about my next little holiday as If we had more time we would absolutely stay more than 2 days for sure.

And next time I’ll definitely bring my friends to make more good memories as the resort suits all types of guests from family and friends to couples.

Everyone can celebrate, having afternoon tea and BBQ dinner in your own private villa.

It was indeed a retreat & recharge trip for my family and I. My final word is I’ll return. I’ll be back to stay at “Bamboo Lodge” again.

And I cannot agree more with its slogan, “Bamboo Lodge – The Place Where People Meet”.
